The Perry Girls Softball Association and the current Jayette softball team will be hosting an alumni game for all alumni players June 5.
The game will be played on Paul and Mary Ann Graves Diamond in Pattee Park, which for many years served as the home diamond for Perry softball. The game will start at 3 p.m. with a cookout for all registered attendees and their families to follow.
Registration is $30 and includes a Perry Jayette Softball t-shirt and admission to the Paul and Mary Ann Graves Invitational June 4 at the Perry Athletic Complex. The Jayettes will open the tourney against IKM-Manning at 9:30 a.m. with Interstate-35 facing Van Meter in the other semifinal. The consolation game will be played at 1 p.m. and the championship game at 2:45 p.m. Mary Ann Graves will throw out the first pitch to start the tourney, with any alumni players in attendance to be honored before the title game.
Money raised will be used to update the scoreboard on the old varsity diamond. Registrations are due by May 20. Donations of any amount from those unable to attend are also welcome.
