The sky was gray, but the attitudes were sunny in the parking lot of the Perry Fareway at midday Friday, where savory pork loin sandwiches were sold in support of the Perry Booster Club.
Fareway Manager Travis Landgrebe said they were prepared to serve 150 meals, and by 11:30 a.m. some 50 were already gone. The fundraiser continues until 1 p.m. at 1315 Willis Ave.
The Perry Booster Club promotes all positive things in Perry, with special emphasis on supporting youth athletics.
A sandwich, chips and drink are available for $7, with a single sandwich fetching $4.
