A Primghar woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting a Primghar man in Adel.
Amber Nichole Barber, 30, of 315 First St. S.E., Primghar, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Pleasant Street in Adel, where an officer of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officer made contact with the victim, who told the officer that Barber “struck the victim on the left side of his head, leaving bruises on his left forehead and left check bone,” according to court records.
The officer observed on the victim “a scratch mark from his lower throat down to his left collar bone” and saw that “his two shirts were torn and tattered,” according to court records.
