Proficient pickleballers from metro club to offer free lessons at MCB

Perry-area people in search of light exercise can pick up some of the finer points of pickleball next month when instructors from the Des Moines Metro Pickleball Club offer a series of free lessons.

Instruction for beginning and advanced players will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the McCreary Community Building gymnasium at 1800 Pattee St. Intermediate players can learn from the experts Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the same time and place.

The Perry pickleball players gather every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. for two hours of play. Equipment is provided, and participation is free. Non-members of the MCB pay a $2 entrance fee at the door.
