GUTHRIE CENTER — The Perry Summer Swim Team produced four relay champions and three individual titleists at the IWSC meet Saturday, results which helped the squad secure a third-place trophy. Perry also received a trophy for placing third during the regular season with a record of 7-2 in dual-meet action.

Carroll won the conference meet with 312 points, with Jefferson second at 227.5 and Perry third at 213. Carroll and Jefferson were the only team to beat Perry head-to-head, with the PSST topping the other seven teams they had defeated during the course of the year at the 10-team conference meet.

Sophia McDevitt found herself leaving Guthrie Center as a four-time champion, as she won the 9-10 25 backstroke and 25 butterfly while joining Lilly Riley, Quin Mahler and Addison Huntington in claiming the 100 medley relay while pairing with Huntington, Riley and Emily Dowd to win the 100 freestyle relay. Both relays finished 10-0 on the season, winning in all nine duals as well as Saturday. McDevitt narrowly missed a fifth win, placing second in the 50 free.

Haileigh Kenyon won the 50 backstroke and joined Haley Vaughn, Stephanie Hill and Breanna Penenger to win both the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay, which was Kenyon’s last competitive swim.

The only senior on the team, she helped head coach Jim Prombo instruct the squad this season and enjoyed a successful final few months in the pool.
