ALTOONA, Iowa — The Altoona Police Department has asked the public to avoid the area of 3200 Adventureland Drive due to an “active situation” at Spectator’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Multiple police units can be seen in the area of Spectators and the Adventureland campgrounds, according to thecount.com. Prairie Meadows in reportedly locked down.
The Altoona Police Department said an armed robbery occurred at the bar and grill, according to KCCI.
The suspect is described by Altoona law enforcement as black male standing about 5’5″ and weighing about 150 pounds. The suspect is said to be wearing a white shirt, blue tactical pants and a dark hat.
