National Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6-12 and to mark the occasion, the Perry Volunteer Fire Department rolled out some fire trucks and equipment Thursday in order to instruct students at the Perry Elementary School in the basics of fire safety and firefighting.
The youngsters seemed enthralled by the pumper truck and the bunker gear and were attentive during their short course is basic fire science.
