Quentin H. “Que” Humphrey, 59, of Perry passed away unexpectedly at his home in Perry, Iowa, on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.

Born on June 17, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, Que was the eldest of six siblings.

He attended and graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minnesota.

Que had a deep passion for cooking, especially BBQ, and was admired for his skills in the kitchen.

He was also a devoted cat lover and enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, including video gaming, golfing, fishing and reading comic books.

Que’s vibrant personality and sharp sense of humor made him a natural entertainer. He had a gift for bringing smiles to those around him and found great fulfillment in performing stand-up comedy.

Above all, Que was a family man. He deeply cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, and his greatest joy came from being present in their lives, offering love, laughter, and unwavering support.

He is survived by his beloved son, Anthony (Serena) Humphrey of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his parents; and his siblings, Bridget Humphrey of Minnesota, Cassondra Halpin of Texas, Erik (Sarah) Humphrey of Wisconsin and Michelle Humphrey of Minnesota. He also leaves behind two nieces, three nephews, two great-nephews, many aunts and uncles and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

Que was preceded in death by his sister, Ellecia Humphrey; several grandparents; and his stepmother.
