A 4.5-mile stretch of Quinlan Avenue (Country Road R16) between 195th Street (County Road F31) and 240th Street (Iowa Highway 44) will be closed to through traffic for about two months starting Monday, Sept. 28, the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department announced Wednesday.
The road will be closed in order to widen the existing pavement and install drainage tile.
The project is anticipated to last six to eight weeks, depending on weather. Access to local property owners will be maintained throughout the project. A detour on County Road R22 will be posted.
