With Wednesday’s warm weather, Steve Heck, water operator with the Perry Water Works, took the opportunity to check the chlorine levels in the city’s water distribution system.

Heck opened a hydrant and vented the main near ITC Midwest in the Perry Industrial park. He said the chlorine level in the water system will fluctuate with temperature, and he wanted to check the level at the system’s eastern extremity.

The sunlight shining through the jetting stream created a rainbow that pleased the eye.
