Perry's Kato Dougan lifts a two-run double against Winterset last season.

JEFFERSON — Senior Austin Delp struck out 11 and allowed only one walk in no-hitting visiting Perry Thursday as Greene County posted a 10-0 non-conference win.

Delp faced only 16 batters in five innings of work, with a lead-off walk to Conner Kenyon in the third inning the only blemish on his pitching line. Kenyon stole second base, but Delp coolly struck out the side to preserve the shutout.

Greene County (2-0) scored once in the bottom of the second, but then plated five fourth-inning and four fifth-inning runs to end the game early.

Brent Riley, Bryce Stalder, Joe Carey and Clayton Smith — the bottom four of the Ram lineup — scored a combined eight runs (pinch runner Joe Anderson scoring one of the octet) on three hits and five walks.

Avery Meister pitched 3-1/3 innings for the Jays. He struck out five and walked one while yielding three runs (two earned). Kato Dougan pitched one inning, walking six batters and hitting one. He allowed four hits and seven runs while recording one strikeout.

Perry (0-2) hosts ADM Tuesday before visiting Boone Thursday.
