A three-vehicle, chain-reaction collision occurred about 12:45 pm. Monday at First and Willis avenues in which one of the drivers was operating with a suspended license, and the other was driving while barred.

A rear-end collision occurred about 12:45 pm. Monday at First and Willis avenues in which one of the drivers was operating with a suspended license, and the other was driving while barred.

A rear-end collision occurred about 12:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of First Avenue near the intersection of Willis Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the two-vehicle mishap, which temporarily blocked the southbound lanes of Iowa Highway 144.

In the collision, a four-door passenger vehicle appeared to strike another four-door passenger vehicle from the rear, with both vehicles coming to rest in the southbound lanes. One vehicle lost its bumper.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by officers of the Perry Police Department.

The identities of the vehicles’ drivers are unknown at this hour, but radio traffic indicated one driver was operating with a suspended license and the other driver was driving while barred.
