The ladies of the Regina Guild at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry presented a $1,000 donation Friday to the St. Patrick School Principal Kandice Roethler.
Regina Guild President Donna Galligan said the funds were raised at the guild’s twice-yearly rummage sales, annual bake sale and other fundraising activities. Regina Guild members Kay Finneseth and Robin McCauley joined Galligan for the presentation of the donation.
Roethler said the funds have been earmarked for several needs, including purchasing a generous supply of school folders and thank-you notes, three whiteboards for classrooms and a supply of books for a Battle of the Books contest, which is similar to a quiz-bowl competition and sees students team reading a lengthy book list.
