The 90-degree weather was not a factor for the hundreds of cyclists rolling into Perry on the Raccoon River Valley Trail Saturday, one of the many checkpoints on the second annual Baccoon Ride.

Many riders gathered in Caboose Park and outside the Crooked Rail lounge to enjoy loud music, cold drinks, a common bond and, of course, bacon-themed dishes.

Local band Homegrown Tomatoes entertained riders and guests in Soumas Court while surrounded by various happenings, such as the Spice Shed, a homemade spice business from Woodward, and the Hotel Pattee mini-bar serving unique drinks, such as the bacon Bloody Mary.

If you missed the annual pork-themed festival or wish to relive it, ThePerryNews.com videographer Mark Summerson provides a two-minute video to recap Saturday’s events.
