The city of Perry announced Monday that the contractor for the North Street Construction Project, Corell Contractor Inc., will begin Monday to place traffic control devices to warn residents of a road closure at the intersection of 16th and North streets.

The closure will occur just south of North Street and will prevent through traffic, the city said.

Local motorists are encouraged to use the 18th Street detour in order to avoid congestion around the construction area.

Southbound local traffic will be able to access North Street to the west.

The city asks all drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution in the work area until the intersection is reopened.
