Rosa “Mamaocha” Vasquez, 65, of Perry passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at Fuente De Vida in Perry. Visitation will be Sunday, July 25 from 2-5 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Rosa “Mamaocha” Elvira Vasquez was born July 14, 1956, at Guatemala City, Zacapa, to Locadio Vasquez and Milagro Vasquez Escobar.
She attended school in Guatemala.
Rosa worked at Tyson Fresh Meats for 12 years and was an in-home childcare provider for eight years.
She was a member of the Fuente De Vida.
Rosa loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In death she rejoins her parents, Locadio and Milagro; a daughter, Concepcion Abigail Martinez; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
Left to cherish Mamaocha’s memory are her children, Alex Martinez, Yvone Martinez, Maria Martinez and Amner Martinez; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers; and one sister.
