Students of the Perry Elementary School and St. Patrick School enjoyed a free dictionary give away Wednesday courtesy of the Perry Rotary Club.
Students were excused from class and filled the Perry Elementary hallway at 1:15 p.m. in order to receive a free dictionary. Many of the students were noticeably excited with their new books.
The free dictionaries were distributed by Perry Rotary Club President Kevin Videgar.
The dictionary giveaway has been an annual event at the Perry schools for many years now, but this might be the last year for the Rotarian event.
“This is the last time we’ll probably do this,” Videgar said. “Other groups have started to giveaway dictionaries as well, so we might move onto something else.”
