Celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Dec. 11, were Rowley residents Richard and Mary Meadows, who married in Des Moines in 1952 while Richard was in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Hawaii.

The Rowley Masonic Community was the scene of several holiday celebrations last week, beginning Saturday, Dec. 8 with a festive visit to residents and their families by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, played by Mike and Shawna Divis, who enjoyed the cookies and punch while sharing the joy of opening gifts.

Among the merrymakers were the family of Rowley residents Doris and Earl Benjamin of Perry, including their daughter, Kathy Benjamin Hacker of Alta, Iowa, granddaughter Anne York and great-great-grandson Hunter Mason.

Celebrations continued Tuesday, Dec. 11, when Rowley residents Richard and Mary Meadows marked their 66th wedding anniversary. The couple were married in Des Moines in 1952, while Richard was in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Hawaii.
