Rural Adel house fire brings Minburn, Dallas Center agencies

Two people suffered burn injuries Sunday night in a house fire south of Perry.

The fire at 22760 Laredo Trail was reported about 8 p.m.

The Minburn Volunteer Fire Department responded and controlled the blaze, with mutual aid from the Dallas Center Volunteer Fire Department.

All occupants of the house escaped alive. The Dallas County EMS responded and transported the burn victims.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The 81-year-old house is owned by Neil O’Sullivan and Gerard Thompson, according to county records.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office also responded to the fire.
