Firefighters with the Adel Volunteer Fire Department made short work of a rural shed fire Thursday evening.
There were no injuries in the blaze.
The fire was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. at 25418 J Ave., about one mile south of Iowa Highway 44 on property owned by Delbert and Brenda Bailey.
Firefighters controlled the fire before an LP tank stored in the shed exploded.
The cause of the fire in under investigation at this hour.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office also responded.
