The Dallas County Public Health Department announced Thursday a new program to help homebound people travel to medical and other appointments and to help the homebound order groceries online and have the groceries delivered to their homes.

The Sustaining Active Independent Lives in Dallas Center (SAILDC) program is accepting applications for volunteer drivers and volunteer online grocery shoppers.

SAILDC is also accepting applications from homebound people in Dallas Center who need these services.

For more information or to volunteer to give or receive the services, call 515-344-2074 or e-mail info@SAILDC.org.
