Enjoying fellowship at the Regina Guild's Harvest Bake Sale Saturday were, from left, Michelle Hager, the Rev. Dave Polich, Diane Stout and Janice Summerson.

The ladies of the St. Pat’s Regina Guild drove a brisk trade at Saturday’s Harvest Bake Sale at the Studio on Second at 1218 Second St., across the street from Ben’s Five and Dime. The sale lasts until 2 p.m.

The famous St. Pat’s cinnamon rolls sold out by 10:15 a.m., leaving lots of luscious cakes, pies, cookies and candies for perusing, including several scrumptious coconut chiffon pies.

An early morning start on the cinnamon rolls was made by Maureen Becker, Robin McCauley, Monica Peitz, Bob Smithson, Diane Stout and Andy Stout, with Craig Hastings applying the trademark St. Pat’s glazing in the final step.

A surprise visitor at the bake sale was Fr. Dave Polich, looking fit as a fiddle two years on from retiring after 43 years of active priestly ministry. Polich was the parish priest at St. Pat’s from 2003 to 2013 and served at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Osceola until August 2019.
