Class 4A No. 8 Saydel (14-3) unleashed a 15-hit barrage that, coupled with four walks and at least four Perry errors, resulted in a 17-2 four-inning victory in non-conference baseball Thursday.

The Eagles scored four times in the first inning and again four times in the third before piling on nine runs in the fourth to end the game early. Perry scored once in the first and added a Janier Puenter solo home run in the third as part of a five-hit effort.

Devin Porter allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out four to collect the victory on the hill.

Puente started for Perry, with Adan Medina and Aaron Lockwood appearing in relief.

No additional statistical information for Perry was provided.

Perry hosts Winterset Monday, Carroll Wednesday and Boone Thursday before visiting Knoxville Friday.
