The U.S. Small Business Administration will host a webinar with tips on preparing for workplace terror.

It is among the worst fears of any business owner or worker: An emergency at or near your workplace that could put your employees, staff and visitors in physical danger. The threat could come from foreign terrorists, homegrown madmen or even toddlers, who shot dead more Americans in 2015 than were shot dead by foreign terrorists.

There are dozens of scenarios to consider that could present such an active-shooter situation. But with careful planning and well-orchestrated drills, your office can be prepared for these and other types of emergencies by knowing where and how to take shelter inside your building or evacuate quickly, safely and efficiently.

In order to help you plan for terror, the U.S. Small Business Administration will host a 30-minute webinar Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Topics will include best practices and easy-to-apply strategies for developing both shelter-in-place and evacuation plans. You will also learn how to orchestrate drills that are important to the safety of the individuals in your business.

The webinar is co-sponsored by Agility Recovery. Space is limited. Register online at the Agility Recovery website.
