Hundreds of local motorists are filling Willis Avenue downtown at this hour for the second annual shag-the-drag celebration of the Perry High School Class of 2021.

The Senior Sign project came about last spring, when Perry boosters J. P. Hulgan and Kelly Christensen Whiton brainstormed ways to celebrate the 2020 graduates of PHS, whose senior year was disrupted by the novel coronavirus global pandemic.
A community fundraiser made the Senior Sign event a success, and the event was repeated this year for the PHS Class of 2021, whose final year was equally uncertain.
