OGDEN — A 21-5 outburst in the second quarter helped power Ogden to a 69-42 win over visiting Woodward-Granger in boys WCC action Tuesday.
The Bulldogs (7-9, 7-7) held only a 14-13 lead after the opening eight minutes before exploding offensively to post a 35-18 advantage at the break. The hosts had a 51-33 lead after three periods, then outscored the Hawks (2-13, 2-12), 18-9, over the final eight minutes to record the victory.
Derick Morgan had 11 points and six rebounds for W-G, with Nick Squires adding nine points and four boards and Marcus McConahay nine points while Brady Aunspach tallied seven points and three caroms. Bodie Harrison had three points and three steals for the guests, with Cameron Hoyt adding two points and Brendan Bird one.
Graham Tews led Ogden with 19 points and four assists while Bryce Snedden contributed 18 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Noah Snedden had 12 points and Ben Herren 11 points and five rebounds while Derek Reutter had five points, Andrew Haberer two points and Conner Paulsen two points along with five assists and four steals.
W-G returns to action Friday when they host Madrid with Panorama to visit Tuesday.
