Maddie West tosses underhand to retire a W-G batter during Perry's final game at the W-G Classic last season. West had the lone Perry hit against No. 2 ADM Tuesday.

ADEL — Class 4A No. 2 ADM recorded only two hits over Perry Tuesday in a Raccoon River Conference contest, but they were enough to secure a 2-0 victory.

The Tigers (5-0, 2-0) scored single runs in the fourth and sixth frames to post the victory, with the Jayettes (2-3, 0-2) limited to only a single base hit.

Emma Olejniczak allowed two hits and three walks while striking out 10 in suffering the tough-luck loss in the circle.

Maddie West singled and stole second for Perry but that was stranded, ending the only serious threat the Jayettes could mount.

“We just couldn’t get the hit through tonight, but we are close — a lot closer than last year at this time of the season,” Perry head coach Tina Kenney said. “Just a matter of time before we’re rolling.”

Perry hosts Carroll Wednesday and Boone Thursday.
