Second suspect arrested Wednesday in Scranton bank heist

Tyler Mattingly, 26, of Carroll was arrested Wednesday on charges of aiding and abetting first-degree robbery and first-degree theft in connection with Feb. 25 bank robbery in Scranton.

Zachary Michael Anderson Wailes, 27, of Fort Dodge was arrested Saturday on charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree theft.

A second suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with the robbery Feb. 25 of the Peoples Trust and Savings Bank in Scranton.

Tyler Mattingly, 26, of Carroll was charged with aiding and abetting first-degree robbery and first-degree theft.

Zachary Michael Anderson Wailes, 27, of Fort Dodge was was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree theft in connection with the same incident.

Mattingly is held in the Greene County Jail.

Mattingly was convicted of two counts of second-degree theft and two counts of third-degree burglary in 2014 in Carroll County District Court. He was convicted of fifth-degree theft in 2014 in Carroll County District Court. He was convicted of second-degree theft and third-degree burglary in 2015 in Carroll County District Court. He was convicted of third-degree theft in 2016 in Story County District Court.

Wailes is held in the Greene County Jail on a $75,000 cash-only bond.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is innocent until and unless proven guilty.
