Six starters return for the Jayettes, who can no longer be penciled in as an "automatic win" on any team's schedule.

CARLISLE — Keegan Pfau won two events and Scott James one, with James helping one relay place sixth while both helped another finish fifth at the 14-team Carlisle Boys Invitational Tuesday.

The senior duo accounted, in whole or in part, for the majority of Perry’s team points. Pfau played a part in 24 points and James in 17, with the former winning the 1600 in 4 minutes, 47.75 seconds and the 3200 in 10:24.8 while the later cleared 6 feet, 2 inches to win the high jump.

The pair teamed with Adan Medina and Marcus Meri to place fifth in the 4×400 in 3:36.47, with James joining Meri, Reece Dunlap and Eli Saemisch for sixth place in the 4×200 on a clocking of 1:36.73.

Saemisch and Dunlap ran with Nic Wilhelmi and Mana Martinez in the 4×100, which crossed eighth in 47.09. Dunlap had earlier placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 24.21 seconds.

The Perry boys will visit the Mustang Invite in Grimes Friday in their next action. They will join their Jayette schoolmates in traveling to the North Polk Co-ed Relays May 5 before hosting the Bluejay Relays at Kaufman Track May 7.
