Serial assailant arrested for allegedly violating protective order

A Grimes man was arrested in Woodward Saturday night for allegedly violating a protective order.

Brian Napoles Varron, 34, of 155 S.W. Maplewood Dr., Grimes, was charged with violation of a protective order.

The incident began about 5:45 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of S. Main Street in Woodward, where an officer of the Woodward Police Department observed Varron “drive up with” the protected party “in the passenger seat of the car,” according to court records.

The officer confirmed the protective order and took Varron into custody.

Varron was held in the Dallas Count Jail in advance of an initial appearance of Dallas County District Court.

Varron was convicted of domestic abuse assault in 2007 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of assault in 2008 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of second-offense domestic abuse assault in 2014 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of assault in 2016 in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of second-offense domestic abuse assault in April 2019 in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of second-offense domestic abuse assault in October 2019 in Polk County District Court.
