There were no injuries in a two-vehicle collision about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday on Iowa Highway 141 near 170th Street northwest of Granger, but the vehicles suffered extensive damage, including a brief fire.
Both of the vehicles involved were SUVs. One vehicle came to rest pointing northward on the should of the southbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141. The other vehicle, which appeared to have been removed from the roadway following the collision, was stopped at the intersection of Upland Avenue and 170th Street.
The incident is under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
The Woodward Police Department, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Granger Police Department also responded.
