The National Weather Service office in Des Moines has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Saturday for the Perry area and much of southwest and south-central Iowa.
Along with Dallas County, the watch area includes Adair, Adams, Audubon, Cass, Clarke, Decatur, Fremont, Guthrie, Lucas, Madison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Polk, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Warren and Wayne counties.
