Dallas County Chief Deputy Sheriff Adam Infante released a statement Tuesday afternoon about a homicide investigation.
The statement said:
On Dec. 22, 2020 at approximately 1:29 a.m., the Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a victim with a gunshot wound at the intersection of K Avenue and 258th Street in rural Adel. The adult male suffering from the gunshot wound was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dallas County Deputies and agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation are following up with the investigation. This investigation is being treated as a homicide. There is no danger to the public at this time.
The Dallas County Sheriffs Office is being assisted in this investigation by the Division of Criminal Investigation, the Adel Police Department, the Perry Police Department, Dallas County EMS, Dallas County Death Investigators and the Adel Fire Department.
The sheriff’s office statement did not indicate whether the K Avenue investigation is related to the crime scene in the 22700 block of J Avenue that was reported Tuesday morning in ThePerryNews.com.
