Shirley Zubrod, 69, of Perry entered into rest Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held Monday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry, with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials will be given to the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home.

Shirley Eileen Zubrod was born Jan. 15, 1947, at Wiscotta, Iowa, to Melvin Max and Pauline Ruth (Pitts) Boldy.
Shirley attended school at Redfield and Perry communities.
Shirley was a loving person. She managed and was a supervisor in Granger at the Health Care Center as a cook. Shirley had a passion of cooking and baking for her residents and staff.
On weekends Shirley worked at Lake Robbins Ballroom, where she loved to listen and dance with co-worker Judy and customers to the Big Bands.
In her spare time she loved to camp and do crafts, such as crocheting.
Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and caring for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Melvin Max Boldy Jr.; and a sister, Janet Marie Boldy.
She is survived by her children, David Hidlebaugh of Perry, Deborah Mathis of Perry, Dennis (Jean) Hidlebaugh of Rippey and Danielle Alamina of Perry; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jorge), Ranea, Tasha (Mario), James (Krissy), Christopher, Marisol, Cody, Dylan, Caleb, Nick and Cori; six great-grandchildren, Jorge Jr., Nathan, Andrew, Pauline, Alexandra and Payton; and many other relatives and friends.
