Sixth-ranked Huskies blank host Jayettes

Winterset scored twice in the first, second, fourth and sixth innings to post an 8-0 win over Perry in Raccoon River Conference softball at the PAC Monday.

Alexis Clouse smacked a first-inning two-run home run for the sixth-ranked Huskies, who never looked back and steadily added to their lead.

Perry was limited to a double from Rachel Kinney and a base hit from Alyssa Kruger.

Emma Olejniczak threw all seven innings for the hosts. She allowed eight runs (five earned) on 11 hits and four walks while striking out four.

Perry hosts Carroll tonight and Boone Thursday. They will then make a long trip northwest to play in the Decorah Tournament Saturday.
