PANORA — The long wait for the 67 members of the Panorama High School Class of 2016 finally ended Sunday, as diplomas were awarded at a graduation ceremony that began at 1 p.m. in the PHS gym.

Senior Class President Gabe Richey started the occasion with a brief welcome, which was followed by the high school choir singing, “Angels Among Us,” by Alabama. Senior Michelle Mleynek gave an address, with the senior choir members performing the Miley Cyrus hit, “I’ll Always Remember You,” with the full choir performing the Boyz II Men song, “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.”

Panorama Schools Superintendent Shawn Holloway presented awards, with a photographic slide show of the class following.

Senior Grace Arganbright addressed her classmates, after which the class was officially presented and diplomas awarded. The graduates recessed to the White Stripes number, “I Can Tell That We Are Gonna Be Friends.”

The Class of 2016 chose as their motto, “You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore,” while selecting the snapdragon as class flower and light blue/dark blue as the class colors.
