Emergency personnel work to extricate a driver who was trapped in a pickup truck that crashed on Iowa Highway 141 just east of the Bouton Road Thursday morning.

Slick roads have caused multiple motor vehicle crashes Thursday morning, including a rollover accident that entrapped a motorist on Iowa Highway 141 at the Bouton corner.

The Bouton Volunteer Fire Department used emergency equipment to extricate the driver, who was transported by Dallas County EMS to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines.

The pickup overturned about 6 a.m. and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 just west of Odessa Avenue. Westbound traffic is backed up on the state highway.

Bridges and overpasses are extremely slick along Iowa Highway 141, according to law enforcement radio traffic. Travelers are advised to use caution.

A second rollover occurred about 6 a.m. on Iowa Highway 141 just west of Perry near the bridge over the Raccoon River.

No injuries were reported.

The Perry Police Department responded to the mishap.

Additional crashes have occurred between Granger and Perry, according to radio traffic.
