Tall piles of rock-hard snow now fill the Pattee Park parking lot on the south side of Harold Bailey Way in Perry just west of W. Third Street.
Perry’s “Big Rock Candy Mountain” was built of downtown snow removed by the Perry Public Works Department during last week’s blizzard and removed to the park.
The volume of snow on city streets was so great that a few piles were even deposited on the north sde of Harold Bailey way near the former tennis courts.
Snow is in the forecast again for the Perry area,with a winter weather advisory in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday and three and five inches of snow and a light freezing drizzle predicted.
