Snow, slush greet Sunday drivers in Perry area

Roadways are slushy and might be slick in spots Sunday morning as snow moves across the Perry area and much of central and southern Iowa.

The National Weather Service office in Des Moines said the snow might last for several hours before changing back to light rain and ending later Sunday morning. Accumulations
less than an inch are predicted and mainly on vegetation.

Motorists are advised to slow down, and be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions. Drive defensively because other motorists will be unaccustomed to the early-season snowfall.
