PANORA — The Raccoon Valley Snow Chasers (RVSC) snowmobile club will hold its fourth annual summertime party bus fun run Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning in Jefferson.

“This is an opportunity for snowmobilers and other outdoor and motor sports recreation enthusiasts to support and say thanks to our local businesses for their sponsorship of outdoor sports,” said RVSC Club President Mike Patten, organizer of the event. “Everyone is invited and hopefully we can attract some new snowmobile club members.”

The event is open to the public. Participants make stops at several area businesses and then take part in a prize drawing at the end of the ride. Fun run participants will ride on a party bus to all the stopping points. Craig Flack, owner of River Farm Recreation near Jefferson, is providing the party bus.

The bus will leave Jefferson at 11 a.m. from the Jefferson Middle School parking lot, traveling to the Owl’s Nest bar and grill in Panora and then moving on about noon, with other scheduled stops in Lake Panorama, Perry, Redfield, Dallas Center, Adel and Jamaica.

The party bus winds up back at the Owl’s Nest in Panora around 6 p.m., with a drawing and prizes awarded to fun run participants. The fun run entry fee is $20.
