Special events to be held in conjunction with Friday football game

The color guard and Perry Blue Brigade prepare to take the field before the September 21 game against DC-G. Friday's game against Boone will be Senior Night and will feature a dedication of the Pete VanKirk Plaza.

The Perry football team will host Boone Friday in their final home game of the season, and a series of special activities will be held before, and during, the contest.

The cheerleaders will perform at 6:50 p.m. with the Perry Pulse Dancers performing a routine at 6:55 p.m.

At 7 p.m. Senior Night will officially begin with the introductions of seniors and their parents. The football team, cheerleaders, cross country teams and members of the marching band and color guard will also be introduced.

A special ceremony at halftime will include the official dedication of the Pete VanKirk Plaza and recognition of the contributions of those who have helped Phase One of the the Dewey Field Renovation project reach completion. The senior high and middle school bands will then perform on the field.

Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. Perry will conclude their season October 19 with a trip to Humboldt.
