The Bluejay gridders would like to quench their thirst, and the public can help them do so.
The Perry Booster Club Fall Sports Kick Off will be held Aug. 23, with fans asked to support the football team by bringing sports drinks to the Dewey Field concession stand area prior to the start of the Bluejay scrimmage.
Perry players receive the donated drinks as part of their post-game meals on the bus ride home from away games. Donations of any size are welcome.
Perry opens their season Aug. 30 by visiting Greene County for the 88th playing of the Cowbell Game. The Bluejays will then host ADM Sept. 6 and Nevada Sept. 13 before starting district play.
