The annual parish hog roast was held Sunday at St. Patricks Catholic School. New pastor Fr. Luis Mejia was officially welcomed at the event.

The gymnasium at St. Patrick’s School in Perry was filled with happy and hungry feasters Sunday as the annual parish hog roast was held in honor of new pastor, the Rev. Luis Mejia.

Knight of Columbus Council 1243 began smoking the hog behind the school at 9 p.m. Saturday and had just enough time to cut into the big pig before feeding began at 1 p.m. The donated hog dressed out at just over 230 pounds of deliciousness, all of which was greedily devoured.

Parish members rounded out the meal with potluck dishes and a generous and wide variety of desserts. Regina Guild members helped with the serving and in several other areas.
