Steven Bever, 63, of Des Moines passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at the UnityPoint Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Perry. Visitation will be Friday, June 2 from 5-7 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn, Iowa.
Steven Lee Bever was born Dec. 14, 1959, in Perry, Iowa, to Darrell Lloyd and Ernestine Junior (Clair) Bever.
He attended school at Washington Township School and graduated from Central Dallas High School.
After graduating, Steve attended a technical school and became a networking engineer.
He was united in marriage to Donna Rae Maynard in Minburn on Sept. 1, 1990.
Steve owned and operated BNS Network Solutions.
He was a member of the Capital High Christian Church in Des Moines and the Altoona Masonic Lodge.
Steve enjoyed photography, astronomy, listening to music and going fishing.
In death he rejoins his parents, Darrell and Ernestine Bever; and a brother, Ronald Bever.
Left to cherish Steven’s memory are his wife, Donna Bever; children, Kathleen (Earl) Bosteder of Des Moines and William (Megan) Lyman of Menasha, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Trevor Bosteder, Faith “Weety” Bosteder, Johnathan Bosteder, Aiden Clemenson and Davin Lyman; siblings, Deb (“Breezie” Hart) Davis of Ferris, Texas, Jim (Kathy) Bever of Boone and Diane (Jim) Cox of Minburn.
