Stuart man allegedly repeats violation of no-contact order

A Stuart man was arrested Wednesday for the fifth time in five years on a charge of violating a no-contact order.

Dale Eugene Terrell Sr., 62, of 411 N. Sherman St., Stuart, was charged with contempt of court for allegedly violating the no-contact order.

The incident occurred about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 15000 block of L Avenue in Earlham, where Terrell allegedly came to the victim’s “residence unannounced,” according to court records.

A witness “observed” Terrell at the victim’s residence, and Terrell “admitted to being at the residence and violating the order,” according to court records.

Terrell is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $500 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Aug. 26 in Dallas County District Court.

Terrell was convicted of assault in 2015 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of third-degree harassment in 2016 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of violation of a no-contact order in 2017 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of violation of a no-contact order in 2018 in Dallas County District Court. He was arrested in January in Stuart on charges of two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The case in pending in Guthrie County District Court. He was arrested in Stuart in March on charges of interference with official acts, harboring a runaway and violation of a no-contact order. The case is pending in Guthrie County District Court.
