Suspicious fire set north of Perry Saturday night

A tinder from the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to put out a fire of unknown origin Saturday night along Iowa Highway 144 north of Perry.

A large wood pile was set on fire Saturday night along Iowa Highway 144 near the Angus curve, threatening a camper and pickup truck.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Perry Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire of unknown origin about 9:45 p.m. and controlled the blaze before it damaged property at 135 350th St. in rural Boone County.
