An SUV overturned at Willis Avenue and Fifth Street about 8:15 a.m. Monday.
No injuries were reported in the one-vehicle mishap.
A witness said the Toyota SUV was traveling northbound on Fifth Street and appeared to make a very wide right turn or even a U-turn on Willis Avenue and left roadway and overturned after striking a tree on the southeast side of the intersection.
The male driver and one male passenger appeared shaken but unharmed. About a dozen passersby stopped to assist.
The Perry Police Department is investigating the incident at this hour.
The Perry Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
