No one was injured Sunday morning when an SUV sheared off a power pole on Willis Avenue, downing the power line and causing the street to be temporarily closed.
The single-vehicle accident occurred about 8:45 a.m. in the 2000 block of Willis Avenue at 10th Street.
The rental vehicle struck the pole on the north side of Willis, and the pole and power line fell across the street.
The Perry Police Department investigated the incident. The Perry First Responders and Dallas County EMS also responded.
