Take a quick five-minute online survey, and help Perry to rebrand itself for the next generation.

The city of Perry partnered in September with the Perry Chamber of Commerce and the Perry Economic Development Inc. (PEDI) to hire a Coralville marketing firm, Brand Driven Digital, to rebrand Perry and freshen its 150-year-old image.

One step in the process of “developing an identity and image for the Perry community,” as the Perry City Hall said Tuesday, is gathering ideas from Perry residents and others.

“We’re looking for feedback about how to tell our community’s story,” the city said. “We need your help because you are an important part of our community! Please take just five minutes to take the online survey, and consider passing it on to others to take as well.”

The brief, seven-question survey asks where you live and where you work, how old you are, what you most like to do in Perry, what are Perry’s biggest assets and challenges and what Perry should be known for.

The council approved spending $5,000 on the marketing campaign, with $2,500 contributions from both the Chamber and the PEDI fulfilling the terms of the $10,000 contract with Brand Driven Digital.

The marketing campaign will include video production, digital marketing, public relations and advertising — some of which might soon be seen on ThePerryNews.com, Perry’s local news leader.

Results of the survey will be released in the coming weeks. For more information, call the Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
