A semi-tractor trailer hauling fertilizer left a granular-surfaced roadway south of Dawson Wednesday night and spilled its load in a farm field.

There were no injuries in the rollover accident.

The semi tipped over at the intersection of 150th Street and E Avenue about 9:15 p.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation at this hour.

Radio traffic indicated the truck was hauling commercial fertilizer. A large volume of liquid could be seen standing in the field on the northwest corner of the intersection.

The nearest waterway to the spilled fertilizer appear to be the Bucks Branch, a tributary of the North Raccoon River.

Des Moines-based Hanifen Towing is en route to the mishap at this hour.
